Gerald Wisdom

FARMINGTON- Gerald Don "Jerry" Wisdom of Farmington passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at the age of 75 years. He was born December 3, 1938 in St. Louis son of the late Manuel and Blue Bell Delisa (Tate) Wisdom. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his only daughter Nancy Pyong Wisdom, three brothers Karrol G. Wisdom, Jerry M. Wisdom, and Larry Wisdom, and one sister Dolores Vessell. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Region on Midway Island and the U.S.S. McKean DDR-784. Following his discharge, he attended college working toward his engineering degree. He was a member of the Farmington B.P.O.E Lodge # 1765. At the time of his retirement he was working as a Production Manager for Lee Mechanical in Park Hills. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Susie Pyong (Irvin) Wisdom of Farmington, his "adopted" son Mark Harrington of Farmington, a sister Joyce Nuckolls of Fredericktown and numerous other relatives and dear friends. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday in the Cozean Chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. William C. Miller officiating. Jerry's casket will be escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders to Hillview Memorial Gardens for Interment with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to a charity of the donors choosing. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
