Gerald Otis Williams

FARMINGTON - Gerald Otis "Jerry" Williams of Farmington, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Camelot Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 60 years. He was born December 5, 1952 at Bonne Terre, son of the late Otis A. and Elsie Lillian (Banks) Williams. Jerry was a quiet and gentle soul, and kind to everyone he met. He attended school at the State School at Flat River and enjoyed spending time with his friends at P.A.T.H. After the passing of his parents, Jerry resided for many years at the St. Francois County Group Home at Farmington, where he met and made so many friends. During his time there he enjoyed going to the Friday night dances with his friends, watching the Golf Channel, Country Music, and Cardinals Baseball. Jerry was also a talented pianist, and enjoyed playing for his friends and family. He was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. Jerry will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, including his brother James Williams and wife Lanette of St. Charles, nephew Nathaniel Williams and wife Stacy of St. Charles, great-nephew Grayson Williams of St. Charles, and many other relatives neighbors and friends. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. William Miller officiating. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to The St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled.
