Gene Vincent Safarik

FARMINGTON Gene Vincent Safarik, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on November 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 75. Gene was born on August 10, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas to the late Jerry and Edna (Thimmesch) Safarik. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leslie Safarik, David Safarik, and Larry Safarik. Gene is survived by his sons, Phillip Safarik of San Diego, CA, Mike Safarik, of Wichita, KS, and Dann (Katherine) Safarik of Wichita, KS, his granddaughter, Sarah Jane Safarik of San Diego, CA, his siblings, Elaine Safarik of Carrollton, TX, Linda (Bill) Ueeck of Cleveland, TX, and Allan (Julie) Safarik of Valley Center, KS, many nieces, nephews, friends, and his special feline companion, Bitsy. Gene formerly worked as an inspector for Cessna Aircraft. He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially camping and riding motorcycles. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. No formal services will be held. Private inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas.
