Gary Lee Hampton

DOE RUN Gary Lee Hampton, of Doe Run, passed away August 7, 2017 at his home in Doe Run at the age of 59. He was born in Bonne Terre on August 9, 1957 the son of the late Donald L. Hampton and Shirley Jean Jacobs Hampton, who survives. In addition to his father, Gary was also preceded in death by his brother, Tom Hampton and sister, Donna Hampton.

Gary was a member of the Farmington Class of 1975. He worked as a truck driver and also enjoyed working as a horse trainer. He owned Sweetwater Boarding and Training Stable. Gary was a people person who was known for his fun loving personality. All who knew him will remember him as a cowboy at heart.

Survivors include his mother, Jean Hampton; a brother, Christopher Hampton; a daughter, Tiana Hampton and grandson, Gage. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Diane Hampton, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
