Gary J. Thebeau

FARMINGTON - Gary Thebeau, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2022, at his residence at the age of 75. He was born in Granite City, Illinois on December 3, 1946 to the late Joseph A. Thebeau and Mildred (Conway) Hufford. Gary graduated in 1965 from Fredericktown High School. Soon after graduation, he went into the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country stationed in Okinawa. Upon his return to civilian life he went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and worked there until his retirement in 1996. That same year he and his wife, Sarah relocated to the state of Pennsylvania where they managed Camp Penuel East, a camp for underprivileged children. In 2003 they returned to Southeast Missouri. Gary loved the Lord and was deep into scriptures. He enjoyed listening to music and playing the banjo. His family was his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Sarah Jane (Hill) Thebeau; his four beloved sons, David (Anita) Thebeau, Tommy (Melissa) Thebeau, Daniel Thebeau and Randy (Sarah) Thebeau; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Kay Johnson, Raymond (Penny) Thebeau, Bob (Kathy) Thebeau and Susan (Kenny) Alley. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 beginning at 1 p.m at Cozean Memorial Chapel until the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at White Water Christian Cemetery.
