Frederick "Fritz" Thomure

FARMINGTON - Frederick "Fritz" Thomure, of Farmington, passed away July 27, 2016 at his residence in Farmington at the age of 58. He was born February 9, 1958 in Farmington to the late William Osburn Thomure and Shirley Jean (Barnes) Thomure. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Marie Thomure and Norma Jean Porzeinski and his mother and father-in-law, Jeannette and Ray Jaco.

Fritz was born and raised in Farmington and took pride with the legacy his father, William Thomure began in 1967 Thomure Disposal. With an unwaivering work ethic he was loyal and dedicated to his customers. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother, always placing his family's needs before his own. He loved his children fiercely and his heart swelled with pride as he watched them bloom into adulthood. In his spare time his true enjoyment was more work, however, fishing and camping with family and friends was always a plus, and he was ever hoping for that perfect bass or catfish. Never quitting a chore before it was done, Fritz was happiest working until dark in which he manicured his lawn as his personal artistic canvas. Sometimes stubborn to a fault he stood strong to his convictions and love of family.

He will be sorely missed by all those who loved him including his wife of 26 years, Tammy (Jaco) Thomure; his children, Dakota "Cody" Thomure and Rebecca Thomure; his sisters, Barb Thomure, Mary Kennon, Dorothy "Dot" Thomure and Pamela Hux; his brothers, Bill Thomure and Paul Thomure, a good friend, like a brother, Stanley Gaska, all of Farmington; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 4 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the service beginning at 1 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
