Frederick 'Fred' Wayne Thilking

STE GENEVIEVE Frederick "Fred" Wayne Thilking, of Ste. Genevieve, entered into eternal rest suddenly on July 1, 2021, at his residence at the age of 41. He was born on August 29, 1979, in Festus, Missouri to Wayne and Frances "Frannie" (Kennedy) Thilking. Fred is survived by his parents, Wayne and Frannie Thilking of Ste. Genevieve, his son, Jathan Thilking of Farmington, his siblings, Laura (and husband Dean) Resinger of Farmington and Barbie Minks of Farmington, his half sister, Misty Dawn Varvell of Elk City, OK, his grandmother, Violet Hatfield of Farmington, his special cousin, John Helm of Ste. Genevieve, along with many other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and his two canine companions, Thea and Rocky. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Viola and Harry Kennedy, Henry "Whitey" and Cleo Thilking. Fred had a good heart and cared deeply for others. He was a jokester who loved making people laugh. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, and camping and also enjoyed working on and rebuilding motorcycles and Dodge trucks. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 11:00am until time of service at 2:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel with Pastor Fred Killian officiating. Interment to follow at Genevieve Baptist Cemetery.
