Fred Kinneman

Fred Oscar Kinneman, of Farmington, passed away March 29, 2015 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 89. He was born in Knob Lick on February 2, 1926 to the late Oscar Henry and Minnie Ellen (Lemon) Kinneman. Fred was a life long resident of the Knob Lick area. After graduation from high school Fred proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Upon his return to civilian life he began a 42 year career as an auctioneer. In addition to auctioneering he also worked as a carpenter and a farmer. For many years he enjoyed raising and training Quarter Horses. Going on trail rides and riding with his granddaughter was one of his favorite pastimes. Fred was also a long time member of the Libertyville Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Emma Jean (Jensen) Kinneman; sons, David Kinneman, Michael Kinneman and Paul (Judy) Kinneman; one grandchild and the apple of his eye, Allison Kinneman, all of Knob Lick; a brother, Henry (Karen) Kinneman of Fredericktown, as well as a nephew and a niece. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 1 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Donn Adamson officiating. Interment will follow at Knob Lick Cemetery.
