Frankie Allen Dickerson

Frankie (Allen) Dickerson, passed away August 31, 2013 at Farmington, Missouri at the age of 84. She was born at Winnfield, Louisiana, the daughter of D. C. and Mary (Weir) Allen. She married Billy Menard Dickerson on December 16, 1945. Frankie was a homemaker and also worked in retail in the cities where her husband's Navy career took them, including Pensacola, FL; Providence, RI; San Diego, CA; Honolulu, HI; and Memphis, TN. Later the family lived in Sikeston, MO, where she was employed in retail and by the Missouri License Bureau. Frankie's hobbies were bowling, playing cards, and demonstrating the hula - even when she was well into her 80's. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Billy Dickerson of Farmington; a daughter Dianne Dickerson also of Farmington; a son Bill Dickerson and wife, Juliet, of Prairie Village, KS; grandchildren, Alison Sheets (Wayne) of Farmington, Sally Dickerson of Washington, D.C., Shannon Davis (Mike) of Sikeston, and Blake Dickerson (Erin) of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren. There are no services planned at this time. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
