Francis Stam

FARMINGTON - Francis Lee "Sonny" Stam went to be with The Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015. He was born May 6, 1949 at Bonne Terre son of the late Francis Edward and Elnor Ruth (Archambo) Stam. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Stam, nephew Travis Stam, niece Stephanie Stam and brother-in-law, Ray Harris. Sonny was a member of the Laborer's Union and Operator's Union. He retired as a foreman from Lead Belt Materials with 35 years of service. He attended the Three Rivers Baptist Church. He loved to spend time with his family, and running his dogs with hunting buddies. Sonny will be greatly missed, but his family has peace knowing he is with his Lord and Savior. He is survived by his wife, LeaDonna Y. (Hughes) Stam of Farmington, sons Brian (& Tracy) Stam of Farmington and Jason (& Ashley) Stam of Park Hills, sisters Paula Harris of Park Hills, Peggy (& Kirby) Bahr of Bemidji, MN, Penny (& Joe) Hahl of Farmington, and a brother Larry (& Joyce) Stam of Farmington, sister-in-law Donna Gilliam Stam of Farmington, four grandchildren; Hanna, Travis, Ciera and Dillan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitation will be followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverends David Wright and Dwight Jones officiating. Interment services will be private and will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made either to Backstoppers or to Sonny's Family for a memorial to be erected in his memory for the benefit of the Lady Rebels Softball team at the Park Hills Sports Complex.
