Frances "Rosie" Sayers

Frances Rosie Rosemary Sayers of Ironton passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, at the age of 67 years. She was born on November 9, 1942, in Grundy County, Missouri, the daughter of the late James Willard and Margaret Leah (Thompson) Grimes. Mrs. Sayers had been a resident of the Ironton area for the past 15 years. She was an avid reader and loved working with plants and gardening. One of Rosie's favorite pastimes was cooking wonderful meals for her family. She was an animal lover who enjoyed spoiling her pets over the years. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Sayers; two daughters, Laura Sayers of Ironton and LaRonda (Mrs. Bill) Atchison of the State of Nevada; two grandsons, Christopher and Chance Atchison of the State of Nevada; two sisters, Jan Tweed of The Dalles, OR and Sandra Brinckerhoff and her husband Bob of Troutdale, OR; a niece, Brandy Benefiel and a nephew, Robert Brinckerhoff. Also surviving are a host of good friends and other relatives. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 26. Visitation will resume on Friday at 7 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the Reverend Joe Braun officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington.
