Eveleen Staats of Farmington, passed away August 1, 2015 at the age of 73 years. She was born May 3, 1942 to the late Vincent and Eveleen Christina Mulhern. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Staats in 2002 and a sister, Kathleen Davey. Ev as most knew her, was born and raised in London, England. In 1962 she and Roger met during his service in the Air Force while he was stationed in London. The couple married in 1964 and with their first born son, Tony, returned to the U. S. in 1965. They raised their family in St. Louis until 1986 when they relocated to the Mineral Area. Ev made some long lasting relationships with families from St. Margaret Mary Alocoque Parish in St. Louis County. She and Roger were active in the St. Louis area Hemophilia Association in the early years of their marriage and more recently enjoyed the grand-parenting stage of their life. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Roger; two children, Steven (Jennifer) Staats of Imperial; Jane (Mike) Darnell of Columbia, IL; five grandchildren, Josie, Tyler, Sarah, Kaitlyn and Keytan; one great grandson, Blake; brother-in-law, Peter Davey of London, England; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 5 from 5 - 8 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. with Pastor Darrell Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington.
