Farmington

FARMINGTON - Eva Tolitha Pospeshil, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on March 10, 2025, at her residence at the age of 95. She was born on March 27, 1929, in Cherryville, Missouri, to the late Newton and Edna (Oxindine) Worley.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Eva Deason (Pospeshil), of Farmington; her son, Arthur James Pospeshil II, and his wife, Carolyn Sue, of Salem, Missouri; her grandchildren, Raymond Hugh Olivio of Rolla, Missouri, Rayondra Kay Olivio, of Salem, Missouri, Raymarla Jay Pinteric (Olivio), of Colorado, Rayangla Gay Olivio, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ravonda Vay Melum (Olivio), of Fort Myers Florida, Richard Paul Deason Jr, of Farmington, Kyle James Deason, of Farmington, Arthur James Pospeshil III, of Farmington, and Autumn Sue Rutledge (Pospeshil), of Cook Station, Missouri. She is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren and twenty-two great great grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James Pospeshil; her sisters, Alice Patt, Della Tuhill, Elsie Conway; her daughter, Sondra Kay Warren (Olivio) (Pospeshil), of Fort Myers, Florida; her granddaughter, Amber Sue Pospeshil, of Poplar Bluff; her great grandsons, Tucker Lee Rutledge and David Dwight Epperson; and her great granddaughters, Jamie Olivio and Michaela Olivio.

Eva was always fond of greetings. She loved it when people acknowledged her as they entered a room, and she made sure to greet everyone when she walked in. Her hospitality knew no bounds—whenever anyone came to visit, she would offer drinks and food with genuine warmth and care. Her love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren was immeasurable, and her cheerful, smiling demeanor made her incredibly easy to love.

She had a passion for gardening and wasn’t afraid of hard work. In fact, she couldn't stand leaving dishes sitting around for long, always quick to clean them before they even had a chance to pile up. She especially treasured visits from family, particularly her grandchildren, and made everyone feel at home in her presence. Her peach cobbler was legendary, and no one could resist her famous salty gravy.

She loved exploring the countryside when the dogwoods were in bloom and spent many hours watching the squirrels and birds outside. Her favorite TV shows were the St. Louis Cardinals games, The Price Is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud with Steve Harvey. Above all, she was incredibly generous, always eager to buy something for someone else, no matter the occasion.

She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her, and her memory will always bring smiles to our faces.

Per Eva’s request, no formal services will be held. Plants and cards may be sent to 888 Willow Vail Ct, Farmington, MO 63640. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
