Euel E. Botkin

Euel E. Botkin of Farmington passed away on May 11, 2006, at the age of 84 years, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center. He was born on August 29, 1921, in Centerville,the son of the late Jim B. and Lorene(Miller)Botkin. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Fern Tate Botkin, son, Russell Botkin, grandson, Donnie Burlbaw, sister, Ilene Hasse and two brothers, Lowell Botkin and Gay Botkin. Mr. Botkin operated Botkin Lumber Company with his three brothers for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed woodworking. Euel married Reba May in 1986 and loved spending time with his family He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Reba (May) Botkin, son, Ruel (Brenda) Botkin of Farmington, three daughters, Sue Burlbaw of Farmington, Barbara (Ronnie) Gault of Arcadia and Cathy (Dave) Tiefenauer of Farmington, four brothers, Burnell(Lena) Botkin, Robert (Wilma) Botkin and Jim (Carol) Botkin, all of Farmington and Richard (Gloria) Botkin of Katy, TX, two sisters, Irene (Luengene) Martin and Mary Martin, all of St. Louis, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, neaphews, other relatives and friends survive. Friends may call a the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Chapel at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Melvin Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials to HospiceCare, Inc. will be greatly appreciated.
