Ernest Donald Bequette

FARMINGTON Ernest Donald Bequette, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on December 6, 2023, at Camelot Nursing Home at the age of 93. He was born on August 4, 1930, in Crossroads, Missouri, to the late Lue and Lucy (Ferguson) Bequette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings. Ernest is survived by his wife of 73 years, Shirley Ann (Level) Bequette, his children, Deborah (Irvin Dale) Browers of Ironton, Vanessa (Mark) Poston of Farmington, and Janet (Dennis) Johnson of Farmington, seven grandchildren, Ronald (Destiny Lange) Myers Jr., Jason Myers, Christine (Kevin) Barlow, Mark Poston, Stephanie (Troy) Johnson, Sandra (J.R.) McDowell and Dalyne (Jordan) House, ten great grandchildren, Emma, Trenton, Ronnie, Sheryl, Jonathon, Colette, Destry, Morgan, Aniston, and Ashlyn, many great great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Ernest proudly served as a United States Navy veteran during the Korean era. He was the former owner of Bequettes Radiator Repair in Farmington and drove a school bus for the Farmington School District for many years. Ernest was a man of Christian faith who always enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines, gardening, cutting wood with his chainsaw, watching the birds, and feeding the fish. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel officiated by Pastor Christopher Reyes.
