Erma Gale Mullinax

Erma Gale Mullinax of Doe Run passed away December 20, 2014 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Grubb, Arkansas on April 24, 1923 to the late A. G. and Sara Roberts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David "Tyle" Potolmny Mullinax in 1993; three sons, Kenneth, Ronald and Mickiel Mullinax and two infant children. Erma was a long time resident of the Doe Run area. She enjoyed gardening and had many flowers and vegetable gardens through the years. She won awards for her produce and many people will remember her generosity. She gave much of what she grew away to friends and neighbors. She loved the Lord with a passion and looked forward to going home to be with the Lord and her loved ones. Survivors include her children, Linda Spencer and her husband, Roy, Betty Lenneman and her husband, Jim, Carolyn Burke and her husband, Pat, Jerry Mullinax and his wife, Kelly, and Richard Mullinax and his wife, Marty; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caregivers at Southbrook Skilled Nursing for their devotion, care and friendship in the six years Erma lived there. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9:30 to 11. a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will be in Doe Run Memorial Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Doe Run Memorial Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
