Eric Norman Hoeft

March 9, 1967 — November 20, 2022

MIDDLE BROOK Eric Norman Hoeft, of Middle Brook, entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 55. He was born in Ironton, Missouri, on March 9, 1967, the only child to John and the late Louetta "Tyke" (Griffin) Hoeft. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank "Jack" Griffin Sr. and Geneva (Nash) Griffin. Eric is survived by his father, John Hoeft of Middle Brook, his children, Dr. Abigail (Steven) Wingler of Farmington, Cpl. Gwendolyn (Christopher) Jasper of South Korea, Nathan Hoeft of Middle Brook, and Arran Hoeft of Desloge, his granddaughter, Jocelyn Jasper, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Eric proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Big Red One Society. He was a longtime bus driver for the North County School District and most recently worked as a janitor for Doe Run Lead Company. Eric enjoyed woodworking, his chicken farm, gaming, and board games but most of all he loved his family. He will be remembered for his quick wit along with his stubbornness and quirkiness. Eric will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a dinner to follow at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 8859 Highway O, Middle Brook. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Cozean Memorial Chapel, 217 West Columbia Street, Farmington, MO 63640 to assist with final expenses or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com
