Eric Conrad Hopkins

WHITE SETTLEMENT, TEXAS - Eric Conrad Hopkins, of White Settlement, Texas passed away unexpectedly June 20, 2018 in Grandview , Texas at the age of 40. He was born September 4, 1977 in Farmington, MO to Rick and Joyce (Crites) Hopkins. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Wanda Hopkins and William and Doris Crites. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Melissa Hansard and her husband Jason, nephews, Justin and Elijah Hansard and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends.Eric loved sports and played soccer, basketball, football and baseball during his childhood and dreamed of being a professional baseball player. He was in Cub Scouts, Webelos and Boy Scouts and played trombone in middle and high school band. In addition to baseball and music, he enjoyed fishing. Eric graduated from Brewer High School in 1996 and attended Florida Tech University. He had a passion for helping animals and worked in the veterinary field since he was 16 years old. Eric loved to entertain family and friends with outlandish stories. He was a great friend that was always there when you needed him and would give you the shirt off his back. Eric was easy going, always had a smile on his face and a joke ready to tell and would do almost anything on a dare. He will be extremely missed by his many loved ones.Friends may call on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 7:30am until time of service at 10am in the Cozean Chapel. Interment Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
