Eric Baechle

Eric Gerard Baechle of St. Charles, formerly of Farmington, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the age of 50 years. He was born on November 7, 1961, at Perryville, son of Carolyn A. (Meyer) Baechle and the late James F. Baechle. In addition to his father, Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Anne Meyer and Tony and Martha Baechle. A 1980 graduate of Farmington High School, Eric attended the University of Missouri at Rolla and Missouri State University where he earned a BS degree in Industrial Management. After working in the Industrial Mgmt. industry for ten years he went on to obtain an LPN degree at MAC. He served in many capacities in the nursing field including hospice, home health and long-term care. Currently he was working in a facility that specialized in dementia care. An avid outdoorsman, Eric loved fishing, hunting and all types of sports. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved nieces and nephews. He will be most remembered as a person who always gave of his time and resources. Eric is survived by his mother, Carolyn A. "Ginger" Baechle; brothers, Steven Baechle and wife Nancy and Chris Baechle and wife Jill; sister, Lisa Carr and her husband Dave; nieces, Melissa, Annelise, Abby, Claire, Katie and Margaret; nephews, Jacob, Matthew, Aaron and Nick; his Godfather, James Basler and Godmother, Wanda Meyer; extended family and friends. Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, March 8 beginning at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be at New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul and to St. Joseph Catholic School. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
