They raised a family in St. Louis where Don worked for Carter Carburetor and later for McDonnell Douglas, Corp. After his retirement Don and Shirley relocated to Farmington to be close to their roots. He was a long time member of IBEW. An avid outdoorsman, Don enjoyed hunting, gardening and farming. His family will remember him most as being a hard working, compassionate man who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Survivors in addition to his wife, Shirley include three children, Terry Winebarger, Brian Winebarger and Kelly Winebarger; four grandchildren; and four sisters, Loraine Hana, Juanita Hawthorne, Marthy Gibbs and May Peterman.
