Emily Ann Marie Jiles, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 27. Born on October 7, 1997, in Farmington, Missouri to Jeffry and Kimberly (McDowell) Jiles.
Emily’s kind-hearted nature was evident in her love for doing things for others. She spent her life in Farmington, where she enjoyed playing video games and spending time with friends.
She is survived by her loving parents, Jeffry and Kimberly (McDowell) Jiles of Farmington; her brothers, Brad (Kristi) Felker of Republic and Zachary (Kayla Hambrick) McDowell of Farmington; her grandparents, Susan and Mark Brewer of Farmington; and her precious nieces and nephews, Dylan, Kelsey, and Adalynn Felker, along with Lakota and Rowan McDowell and a bonus niece and nephew, Oliver and Sailor. Emily also leaves behind a caring extended family, including aunts and uncles Laura and Jeremy Marler of Desloge, Heather and Nathan Maag of Perryville, and Jennifer Lohmann of Perryville, as well as many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. Among those who shared a special bond with her was her canine companion, River, who stood by her side throughout the years.
Emily is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ray McDowell; her grandmother, Brenda Mahurin; her great-grandparents, Henry and Virginia McDowell and Byron and Marie Ledbetter; and her cousin, Joshua Marler.
To honor Emily’s life, a memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM. Both events will take place at Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory, located at 217 West Columbia Street, Farmington, Missouri.
