Elroy August Schoenbeck

FARMINGTON Elroy August Schoenbeck of Farmington, formerly of Red Bud, IL, passed away April 7, 2019 at the Arbors at Maplebrook in Farmington at the age 81. He was born October 7, 1937, in Red Bud, IL to the late Ferdinand and Ella (Hartmann) Schoenbeck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother in law, Alfred Stellhorn. Elroy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Red Bud, IL where he served as the church treasurer, an elder, a trustee and on the school board. He was a life time farmer and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Elroy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Louella (Kruse) Schoenbeck, his sons, Dean (and wife Sheila) Schoenbeck and David (and wife Jennifer) Schoenbeck, grandchildren, Logan, Aiden, Sydney and Parker, sister, Ruby Stellhorn, brother in law, Ken (and wife Jane) Kruse, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10235 South Prairie Road, Red Bud, IL.
