Elaine Ann Petrie

Elaine Ann Petrie of Farmington passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the age of 72 years. She was born on November 14, 1941, in Panama, daughter of the late Lyman and Hattie Fern (Wallen) Jenkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Petrie, Jr., in 2010 and her son, James Keith Ruble in 2005. Elaine will be remembered by her children for being a sweet devout Christian and for having a smile that could light up a room. She set a daily example of perserverance, willpower, work ethic and understanding of others. We will remember her motto "keep on keeping on." Well done Mama! Survivors include six children, Velina (Joel) Critchlow, Sheri (Mark) Halbert, Anthony (Heather)Petrie, Robert Jeffery Petrie, Michael Lee Petrie and Deborah Denise Petrie Gray; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be in the Cozean Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 24 with Reverend David Wright officiating. Interment will be at Three Rivers Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
