FARMINGTON Eileen Marie Barnard, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2021 at the age of 69. She was born on June 13, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois to Angeline Buck and the late Fred Buck II. She was a loving daughter, beloved wife of 51 years, dear mother, grandmother and sister. We Mourn with Hope. When we lose a loved one, it may feel as if a part of ourselves has been taken with them. We grieve the moments well no longer be able to share and the dreams or desires that may never be realized. Though this pain is real and deep, if our loved ones belong to Jesus, our sorrow is always tinged with the certainty that one day, we will see them again. Scripture promises this and Jesus death and resurrection proved it. "For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him" (1 Thes 4:14). This means, for those in the family of faith, our goodbyes are never truly goodbyes but rather we look forward to seeing one another again. Eileen was more than just a friend to so many. She was a second family, second mother, and second grandmother ("Nanny") to dozens. She was always there to support, listen, give advice, and shower people with her love. She was one of a kind and we will miss her. Nanny, may your hair be perfectly in place, sparkles all over, smelling flowery, feet freshly done, nails on point and your smile big and contagious. Enjoying a candle, reading a book, drinking a margarita, and relaxing on the beach. Matthew 5:4 "Blesses are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" Quote by Amy Jarrett A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Park Hills Senior Center, 224 West Main Street, Park Hills, MO 63601. Arrangements handled through Cozean Memorial Chapel.
