Edward W. Thebeau

FARMINGTON Edward W. Thebeau of Farmington passed away surrounded by his family on August 20, 2019 at his residence at the age of 85. He was born May 6, 1934 in Cadet, Missouri to the late Leo W. and Bertha (Portell) Thebeau. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Augusta Thebeau and his sister in law, Donna Scott. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, JoAnn (Barton) Thebeau of Farmington, his children, Mike Thebeau of Deer Run Estates, MO, Terri (and husband John) Edney of Morris, IL, Susie Rohrer of Farmington, MO, Steve (and wife Cheri) Thebeau of Davidson, NC, and Joan (and husband Marc) Sanders of Cape Girardeau, MO, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, his siblings, Rose Thebeau of Potosi, MO, Jean Wickerham of Park Hills, MO, Agnes (and husband Jerry) Courtway of DeSoto, MO, Gracie (and husband Don) Wall of St. Louis, MO, Judy (and husband Jim) Politte of Potosi, MO and Joe (and wife Kaye) Thebeau of Lawrenceville, GA, his brother in law, Jerry (and wife Louella) Barton of Park Hills, MO, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Edward retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 43 years of service and was a proud member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen Local 6078. He played and coached baseball in his younger years and enjoyed going to his children and grandchildren's sporting events. He was a die hard St. Louis Cardinals fan. Edward was a hard worker and was a family man. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends may call on Friday, August 23 from 5:00-8:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 7:00am until 9:45am at Cozean Memorial Chapel followed by Mass at 10:00am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 10 North Long Street, Farmington with Father William Thess officiating.
