Edward Saunders Chastain

Edward (Ed) Saunders Chastain entered into eternal rest on October 24, 2021 at the age of 57 in Columbia, Missouri. Ed was born in Fredericktown, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, Caroline Saunders Chastain and his grandparents, Charles William and Faith Chastain and Dr. Edward and Caroline Saunders. Survivors include his father, Dr. Charles William Chastain III and wife Joanne of Appleton, Wisconsin; his children, Curtis Chastain (and fianc Kate Olson) of Somersworth, New Hampshire, Christopher Chastain (and fianc Abbie Davis) of St. Charles, Missouri, Faith Birdsong of New York City, New York and John Northcutt (Kaitlynn Mae) of Naples, Florida; his grandchildren, Johnny, Henry and Luke Northcutt; his siblings, Charlie (Dorothy) Chastain of Farmington, Jane (Jared) Troutner of Houston, Texas, John Chastain (and fianc Pamela Hull), of Appleton, Wisconsin, Katie (Rod) Rhodes of Farmington, Carrie (Mark) Riedi of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Chelsea (Matt) Watkins of Bonne Terre. Ed overcame many challenges in his lifetime. Ed loved carpentry. For many years, he enjoyed working in the home improvement industry. At the time of his passing, Ed was a "rising star" employee for a building supply company. Ed also loved his family, the outdoors, hunting and fishing. We will always cherish our fond memories of Ed as his heart was kind and loving with a deep desire to please. Ed had many dear friends who also loved and will miss him.
