Edna Rolens

FARMINGTON - Edna Esther Rolens of Farmington passed away on October 22, 2015 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 13 days. She was born August 8, 1924 in St. Francois County to the late Marvin and Lottie (Willis) Welch. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, George "Pete" Elbert Rolens in 2006. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Lorella Pettus, Dorothy Harris and Elsie Henderson; a daughter, Christine Sebastian; a grandson, Eddie Watkins, Jr. and one great grandson, Riley Lawson. Edna will be remembered to many as "grandma Edna" because of her love for all children. She always had a an ice cream cone available to anyone from her neighborhood. Her family will remember her generosity as she offered many meals to loved ones and helped in raising several generations of family. She retired from Trimfoot where she worked for thirty three years as a machinist. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Mrs. Eddie) Watkins and Darlene "Donna" (Mrs. Kenny) Hollowell; one sister, Patricia Stamm; nine grandchildren, Timmy (Kim), Kenny (Tammy), Christy (Alan), Theresa (Tim), Victoria (Dale), Michelle, Wesley, Steve (Tina) and Sandy (Tabatha); Twenty-five great grandchildren, Beth, Timmy, Kenny, Danny, Jacinda, Renee, Shamae, Kenrae, Brandon, Chris, T. J., Tracy, Mikie, Joanna, Alicia, Ashley, Amanda, D. J., Sarah, Justin, Jessica, Braxton, Miranda, Eric and Zach; thirty-five great-great grandchildren, Doug, Andy, Hailey, Ethan, Hannah, Emmry, Kevin, Wayne, Braeden, Braxton, Natalia, Jovi, Hayden, Anthony, Jackson, Gage, Jayden, Logan, Heather, Sarina, Gabrialla, Dahlia, Mason, Braedon, Mackenzie, Jadynce, Blayne, Payton, A. J., Kadence, Michael, Joseph, Ryan, Ava, and Wyatt; one special cousin, Ruthie Bayless and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may call on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 - 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday morning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. David Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Three Rivers Cemetery.
