Edna Mae Branham

FARMINGTON - Edna Mae (Morgan) Branham of Farmington, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Presbyterian Manor at the age of 94 years. She was born December 12, 1918 at Brownstown in Fayette County, IL daughter of the late Grover and Lenna (Woodburn) Morgan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Melvin Branham, two infant grandchildren, two brothers, Denzil Morgan and Herbert Morgan, and a sister Dorothy (Morgan) Troxell. Edna was was a Licensed Practical Nurse and served helping others many years at the Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, Illinois. At the time of her retirement in 1985, she was employed by the Murray Children's Center in Centralia, Illinois. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lynette Satterthwaite and husband Bob of Farmington, MO also by three loving grandchildren, Brian Satterthwaite and wife Barbara of Wildwood, MO, Robin (Satterthwaite) Dudek and husband Mark of Pinckneyville, IL and Shannon (Satterthwaite) Beahan and husband Matt, of St. Charles, MO. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren, Lyndsey and Natalie Dudek, Grace, Maria, Kay and Megan Satterthwaite, Audrey and Owen Beahan as well as many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, IL. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia, IL. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Heart Association, Presbyterian Hospice of Farmington, or the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
