Edith Verble Easley

Edith Verble Easley was born in Morehouse, Missouri on June 11, 1909, to James Franklin and Emma Elizabeth Rowe. She passed away on April 25, 2011 at the age of 101 years, 10 months and 14 days at Tulsa, OK. She and James H. Easley, Sr. were married on April 5, 1928 in Farmington, Missouri. Edith is survived by her son, James H. Easley, Jr. and wife Mary Jane of Colorado; grandchildren, Karen Colburn and husband, Archie of Connecticut, Janis Thomas and husband Mike of Oklahoma, Sharon Goldhirsch and husband Doug of Maine, Joyce Shieldnight of Oklahoma, Jacqueline Snider and husband Ken of Oklahoma, James B. Easley and wife Jackie of Colorado; 9 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Jack Roger and daughter-in-law, Jean; her sisters, Minnie Doyen and Sadie Calvert and her parents. Arrangements in Oklahoma were under the direction of the Floral Haven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow, OK. Interment will be on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Genevieve Baptist Cemetery.
