Edith Pearl Ryan

Edith "Pearl" Ryan of Farmington passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010, at her home at the age of 92 years. She was born on April 14, 1918, at Bollinger County, MO, the daughter of the late Charles and Essie (Franklin) McGraw. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lansing Ryan, a son, Terry Ryan and three brothers. Pearl and Lansing were long time residents of Farmington where they raised three children together. Pearl enjoyed being a homemaker and cooking and cleaning were her favorite pastimes. In her spare time she was an accomplished seamstress and liked quilting. Survivors include her daughter, Gay Nell Ryan and her husband Tom Wood; and son, Charles Ryan, all of Farmington; four grandchildren, Rob Ryan, Polly McNillas, Brooke Wiley and Lance Ryan; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruby Hutson of Park Hills. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2010. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 7 am until the beginning of the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Dr. Rick Broadway officiating.
