Edith Lula Lacey

Edith Lula Lacey, 70, of Bismarck, died October 31 at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born January 15, 1920, in Farmington to the late George and Ruth Benham Howell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lacey; three brothers; Buck Howell, Monroe Howell, and Willard Howell; one sister, Goldie Monroe; one grandchild, and one step-grandchild.

Mrs. Lacey was a longtime resident of this area and a member of the First Baptist Church in Doe Run. 

She is survived by three sons: Clyde Lacey of Doe Run, Bobby Lacey of Bismarck, and Howard Lacey of Scott City; two daughters: Margaret (Mrs. Francis) Harter of Arnold, and Shirley (Mrs. Ken) Leach of Imperial; two sisters:  Lorraine Davis of Bismarck, and Gladys Hurt of Ironton; 10 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Cozean Chapel with Rev. V.E. DeFreece officiating.  Burial will be in Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
