Edith Cook

FARMINGTON Edith Marie Cook, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington at the age of 90 years. She was born on April 1, 1927 in Livingston, Tennessee the only child of the late Sidney Lester and Esther May (Carmack) Collins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Billy Staggs.

Edith was retired from the Russell-Stover Candy factory in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Farmington First Baptist Church and enjoyed attending all of the church events. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two children, Kenneth (& Lori) Cook of Farmington, and Cheryl (& Terry) Thomas of St. Louis, four grandchildren, Travis (& Melissa) Cook of Columbia, Jordan Cook of Grand Junction, Colorado, Leah (& Zachary) Blickhan of St. Louis, and Dillon Thomas of Cape Girardeau; three great grandchildren Nolan & Colin Cook and Vivienne Blickhan, and numerous cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation will be held at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to either Heart & Soul Hospice of Farmington or the Farmington First Baptist Church Building Fund.
