Earline Edwards

January 21, 1925 — July 5, 2012

Earline Mae Edwards of Park Hills passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 5, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born at Taylortown on January 27, 1925 to the late James and Effie Mae (Merritt) Scott. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Emmett Earl Edwards in 1993; a son, Earl Lee Edwards and three brothers. Earline grew up in the Elvins and Delassus area where she and Emmett raised eleven children. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved cooking and family get togethers. She was an accomplished seamstress and sold her handmade quilts in the area. In her spare time she enjoyed watching cartoons, game shows and soap operas. Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Lewis, Linda (Mrs. Jim) Larmer, Jo (Mrs. Michael) Skidmore, Glenda Edwards and Laura Edwards; her sons, Bill, Larry, and Harold Edwards; Terry Edwards and wife, Judy, and Farrell and wife, April Edwards; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Edward) Queen and Frances Kuhl; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 8 from 4 - 9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Reverend Jay Lacey officiating.
