E. Lorene Lawson

E. Lorene Lawson of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Presbyterian Manor, at the age of 91 years. She was born on January 8, 1920, in Amagon, AR, daughter of the late Mary (Wilkins) and Robert Jordan. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Cordell Sr., her second husband, Edward M. Lawson, a son, Fred Cordell Jr. and two brothers. Before retirement, Mrs. Lawson worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She is survived by two granddaughters, Stacey Cordell of Farmington, and Lori Smith (Ronnie) with great-grandson Aiden Smith, all of Farmington, a daughter-in-law, Connie Roberts of Fredericktown, and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Lawson will be laid to rest next to her husband at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Jacksonville, AR. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel.
