Dr. Robert 'Doc' William Wentworth

WAYNESVILLE Dr. Robert "Doc" William Wentworth of Waynesville passed away on November 3, 2020 at Southbrook Nursing Center at the age of 88. Robert was born on April 12, 1932 in Berlin, New Hampshire. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Chuck Callaway. Robert is survived by his daughter in law, Cindy Callaway of Ellington, his grandchildren, Carrie (Derek) Scoggins of Farmington, Cassie (Jeremy) Rayfield of Ellington and Chrissie (Drew) Pitts of Farmington, his great grandchildren, Josh and Chloe Scoggins, Ashton Scaggs, Kolton and Lyric Rayfield and Bentley Brawley, his special friends Denny and Vicki Gist of Fenton, his canine companion, Lucy, and many friends. Robert proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a private pilot, an accomplished artist of landscapes, portraits, and stained glass and enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing the piano, and his flower gardens. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be no formal services per his request.
