Douglas Trent Forsythe

FARMINGTON Douglas Trent Forsythe, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on March 1, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 24, 1965, in Farmington to Chalmer "Hank" and Delorse "Dorrie" Ann (Duncan) Forsythe. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sarah (George) Forsythe, his children, Conner (Samantha Franklin) Forsythe and Hannah (Jacob Glazer) Forsythe, his brothers, Danny (Michelle) Forsythe, Randy (Vicki) Forsythe, and Brett (Patty) Forsythe, his mother-in-law, Mary Ann George, his sister-in-law, Beth McEntire, his brother-in-law, Brian (Judith) George, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special canine companions, Duncan and Finley. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Hank and Dorrie Forsythe and his grandparents, Bill and Ann Duncan and Melvin and Ina Forsythe. Doug was an x-ray/MRI technologist for Mineral Area Regional Medical Center/Parkland Health Center for 35 years. He dedicated many years as a coach for the Mineral Area Baseball Association, the Cal Ripken Junior League, and the Junior and Senior Babe Ruth Baseball League. He was also a big supporter of Farmington High Schools baseball team and worked on the chain gang during the football season. He participated in many facets of community events and organizations which he loved and was a previous member of the Farmington Educational Foundation. He also enjoyed cycling with the Farmington Trans Am Cyclery group. Doug will be remembered as a giving and generous person who was a wonderful husband and father. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Deron Boyer.
