Douglas Isenhart

BELLEVILLE, IL - Douglas Allen Isenhart of French Village, Missouri, formerly of Belleville, IL, passed away June 18, 2015 at the age of 55. He was born in Belleville to Jean Isenhart and the late David Isenhart. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Isenhart and a brother-in-law, Fernando Gonzalez. He was a graduate of Bellevillle East High School and went on to college at Southwestern Illinois College. He worked in manufacturing maintenance for many years both for Stag Brewing Company and then Henkle Corporation in St. Louis. He was a member of the Teamsters for approximately thirty years. In recent years Doug retired and enjoyed his new home in the country with his wife, Laurie. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed riding in his golf cart, fishing and hunting. Doug was a kind and intelligent man who always had a book in his hand or a game of Suduko. His family will miss his frequent, squeezing hugs and his reminders that he loved his family. He was always there for anyone at any time. Survivors include his beloved wife of seven years, Laurie (Cowee) Isenhart; his children, Rebecca and Matt Isenhart-Hartweg, Dustin and Emilie Isenhart, David and Angela Hawkins, Donald Hawkins and Brian and Angelique Hawkins; thirteen grandchildren who he loved with all his heart; his mother, Jean Isenhart; a brother, Michael Isenhart and two sisters, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Kathryn and Robert Hill. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.
