Dorothy Mae Womack

FARMINGTON Dorothy Mae Womack of Farmington, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Community Manor Nursing Center at the age of 99. She was born November 15, 1916 at Bismarck to the late Arthur Hughes and Ida Mae (Ford) Hughes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Lester Womack on March 3, 1983; six brothers, James, Marion, Everett, Paul, Orville and Clifford; and three sisters, Verline, Laura and Tremella.

A life long resident of the area, Dorothy was a 1937 graduate of Doe Run High School. She worked for many years as a retail clerk and was retired from the Farmington Nutrition Center. Dorothy was an accomplished seamstress and also loved to bake.

Survivors include her two children, Kathy (Gary) Luttrull of Farmington and Michael (Sharon) Womack of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Noel (Rick) Burger, Nicole (Patrick) Mullins and Robert (Julie) Fink; seven great-grandchildren, Richard and Kori Burger, Cole, Alexi and Emma Mullins, and Eleanor and Roslyn Fink; a sister, Mildred Eaton and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 5 8 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 beginning at 7 a.m. in the funeral home until 10 a.m. Funeral services will follow at Doe Run Church of God at 11 a.m. with Reverend Thom Reagan and Reverend Gary Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Doe Run Church of God Building Fund or Preferred Hospice.
