Dorothy Dean Pirtle

Dorothy Pirtle FARMINGTON - Dorothy Dean Pirtle of Farmington, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Camelot Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 87 years. She was born November 17, 1925 in Bollinger County near Patton, the daughter of the late Charlie and Ella (Denman) Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Norvell William Pirtle, son Ronald William Pirtle, and grandson Tim Pirtle. Dorothy attended church at the Farmington First Assembly of God Church for many years. In early years she worked as a sales clerk at the Farmington A & P and later at the Ben Franklin Store. In her spare time she enjoyed word searches and crossword puzzles, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Marie Pirtle of Farmington, granddaughter Teresa Bequette of Farmington and grandson Steve and wife Terry Pirtle of Helena, Montana; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, friends and neighbors. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume on Friday at 7 a.m. with a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will be in the Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
