Dorothy Clark

Dorothy Elizabeth Clark of Farmington passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at St. Francois Manor, at the age of 87 years. She was born May 25, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Henry Lee and Lucille (Cambron) Meyer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edwin Clark, three brothers, Lee Meyer, Woodrow Meyer and George Meyer, and a sister, Dolores Hecht. Dorothy was a homemaker for many years, but had also worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, as a waitress and as a factory worker in a small arms plant. She is survived by two children, Donald T. Evans of Jonesboro, AR, and Judy E. Simpson of Chester, IL, five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 11:30 a.m., at the Big River Cemetery in Irondale. Memorials may be made to any charity the donor desires.
