Dorothy Ann Wise

FARMINGTON Dorothy Ann Wise of Farmington passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on December 2, 2021, at the age of 89. She was born in Paducah, Kentucky on October 30, 1932 to the late Richard Marshal Scott and Unie Beatrice (Wilford) Scott. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bo Wise; their son, Monte Wise and all of her siblings. Dorothy met the love of her life, Charles Wise in St Louis during the 1950s while she was working as a waitress at the Playboy Club. She later managed the Sears Luncheonette in St. Louis. Dorothy was always fashionable and enjoyed dressing up. An avid reader, she also enjoyed plants and gardening. After moving to Farmington in later years, she attended Memorial United Methodist Church and she often went to the Farmington Senior Center. Dorothy was a doting and devoted grandmother to her three granddaughters, Shannon, Rebecca and Megan. She is also survived by a special niece, Betty Saunders; a special caregiver and friend, Mary Jane Wulfers (and her entire family); and other extended family and good friends. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to Elara Caring and Serenity Care and Hospice for the wonderful care given to Dorothy during her illness.
