Dorothy Ann Wade

FARMINGTON Dorothy "Dottie" Ann Wade of Farmington, entered into her Heavenly home on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her home at the age of 94. She was born in Farmington to the late John B. Mueller and Rose (Naeger) Mueller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Wade; and all her four siblings, Francis Mueller, Joseph Mueller, Virginia ODonnell and Rosemary Lober. Dottie was a lifelong resident of Farmington and was in the Farmington High School graduating class of 1948. In 1949 she and Edsel Wade were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church. They had seven sons, which kept her very busy caring for them and keeping up with all their activities. She loved holidays, especially Christmas; and celebrating family birthdays. She was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she volunteered with various church activities over the years. In her earlier years, she and Edsel enjoyed square dancing, playing pinochle with friends and golfing. She will be missed by all those who loved her including her sons, Dan (Sandy) Wade, Butch (Janis) Wade, Ken (Debbie) Wade, John (Yvonne) Wade, Steve (Sheri) Wade, Keith Wade and Brad (Patricia) Wade; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Cornelison and Karen Mueller and brother-in-law, Leroy Wade. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dotties caregivers, Missy, Sheila, May and Serenity Hospice Care. Visitation will begin Thursday morning, January 18, 2024 at 7:30 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Thess as Celebrant.
