Dorothy G.G. Puckett of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at the age of 79 years. She was born in Bonne Terre to the late Perry Rariden and Lulu (Haney) Rariden, also known as Mama Lu . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Horn Puckett. G.G. was a 1950 graduate of Farmington High School. She proudly played the trumpet in the class that first formed the high school band. In her adult life she was a bookkeeper at the E. C. Robinson Lumber Company and Farm Equipment Sales. When Parkland Hospital opened she was a switchboard operator and went on to the bookkeeping department where she retired in 1997. She was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan who rarely missed a game. A member of Eastern Star, G.G. also served as a leader of Jobs Daughters of Farmington. She was a life-long member of the Farmington Christian Church where she had become the longest living member. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy and she spent many joyous hours spoiling them. Survivors include her children, Kathryn (Mrs. Roger) Brockmiller of Farmington and Steven Puckett of Bismarck; four grandchildren, Brandie Bahner of Belton, MO, Jason Kindle and wife, Libby of St. Louis, Amie Moore of Bismarck and Jeff Kindle and wife Kelly of St. Louis; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Liam, Arya and Miranda; 2 brothers, Perry Rariden and Gary Rariden; and numerous nieces, nephews and 1st cousins. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 23. Visitation will resume on Friday, June 24 from 7 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home with services to follow at the Farmington Christian Church beginning at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dale Berck officiating.
