Doris Jean Baker

FARMINGTON Doris Jean Baker, of Farmington passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024 at Cedarhurst Senior Living at the age of 87. She was born on November 2, 1936, in Lesterville, Missouri, to Bud and Peachie (Baker) Baker. Doris is survived by her daughter, Angela Schutz, and her sister, Betty McNail. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Schutz; and five sisters and one brother. Doris worked for many years as a programming analyst in the corporate IT industry. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travelling with her friends and family. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and working with stained glass. Doris loved many dogs she rescued over the years and found purpose helping homeless animals by volunteering at the Farmington Pet Adoption Center where she liked to organize the books that were donated to their Second Chance Resale Store. No formal services will be held. An inurnment at Rayfield Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
