FARMINGTON – Doris E. Pratt entered into eternal rest on June 25, 2024, at Ozark Manor Nursing Home in Fredericktown at the age of 97. She was born on April 2, 1927, in Farmington to the late Charles M. Pearce and Frances Pearl (Bowyer) Pearce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William S. Pratt in 2003; an infant brother, Robert Franklin Pearce; her stepmother, Nanny Seabaugh; a stepsister, Helen Garms; a granddaughter, Megan Pratt; a great-granddaughter, McKenna Templeton and a nephew, Pete Pratt.

Doris graduated from Farmington High School in 1945. On May 28, 1949, she was married to William Pratt, and they resided in Delassus. For many years Doris worked as a medical records keeper at Farmington Community Hospital. She was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed trying out new recipes she found in books and magazines. She loved, nurtured and cared for any animals that wandered into her yard. In her later years she loved her independence. She was gentle, kind and wore a smile all the time. Doris adored her grandchildren and loved having them near.
