ARNOLD - Donald Lee "Don" Jensen of Arnold, formerly of Knob Lick, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at St. Anthony Medical Center at the age of 81 years. He was born on November 20, 1933, at Knob Lick, son of the late Jesse E. and Edith D. (Kinney) Jensen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gail Jensen, a son Ronald Jensen, and two sisters Leota Foxx and Stella Lyons. Donald grew up south of Farmington and attended school at Knob Lick and Farmington. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later attended the Kentucky School of Embalming and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Missouri. He began his career working in Farmington for the Cozean Funeral Home, serving his apprenticeship under the late C.H. Cozean, Sr. Later under the encouragement of Mr. Cozean, he moved to the St. Louis area and eventually purchased Baumman Colonial Funeral Chapel in Overland. He owned operated the funeral home for the rest of his working career. After selling the funeral home and retiring, he moved to Arnold where he remained until the time of his passing. He is survived by a sister Jean Kinneman of Farmington and a brother Charles (& Patricia) Jensen of Bedias, TX, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the Knob Lick Cemetery with full military honors to follow.
