Donald Joseph Fraser Sr.

FARMINGTON Donald Joseph Fraser Sr. of Farmington passed away June 17, 2018 at Mercy Jefferson in Festus at the age of 82. He was born August 16, 1935 to the late Guy Wilson Fraser and Lola (Harrington) Fraser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Kay) Fraser, son, Steve Fraser, grandson, Cody Fraser, and siblings, Peggy Baumgartner, Alma Dawson, Freda Sirclum, Martha Williams, Guy Wilson Fraser Jr., Cecil Fraser, and Orville Fraser.

Donald was born and raised in Farmington and also resided in Fredericktown for many years. He was a Christian man and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Festus and a former member of Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Fredericktown. He enjoyed fishing, sitting around the campfire, baseball and being on the farm.

Survivors include his son, Donald (Kim) Fraser of DeSoto, MO, grandchildren, Ashley Fraser, Morgan Fraser and Melissa "Missy" Hampton, several great grandchildren, brother, George (Betty) Fraser of Farmington, stepbrother, Bill Day of Ohio, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends may call on Friday, June 22, at Faith Baptist Church, 11835 County Road CC, Festus, MO from 5-8 p.m. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning until time of service at 12 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel, 217 W. Columbia Street, Farmington. Interment will follow at Calvary Temple Church Cemetery in Fredericktown.
