Donald Duncan, Jr.

FARMINGTON Donald Ray "Don" Duncan, Jr. passed away March 15, 2018 at his home at the age of 63. He was born October 12, 1954 to the late Donald Ray Duncan, Sr. and Helen Laverne (Starks) Duncan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne Duncan.

Don proudly served his country in the U. S. Army for four years where he was stationed in Germany in the Military Police Force. Upon his return to civilian life, Don became a police officer having served for more than thirty years, mostly for the City of Farmington. He was a member of the VFW and was the local Scout Master for Troop 471. Scouting was his passion and he was very proud of his son, Jordan who had become an Eagle Scout. An avid outdoorsman, Don loved to camp and canoe. Don was a kind person who would do anything for anybody. More than anything he loved being a Papa to his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Teri (Brann) Duncan; six daughters, Samantha, Erin, Jaime, Donna, Ashley and Amanda; a son, Jordan; eleven grandchildren, Saydie, Colton, Austin, Kinsley, Gavin, Allie Grace, Bella, Scarlet, Stella, Ellie and Nolan, who is on the way; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Cozean Memorial Chapel between 5 and 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Arcadia Valley Memorial Cemetery in Ironton. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Boy Scout Troop 471 in care of the funeral home.
