Donald Curtis Hoffman

FARMINGTON- Donald Curtis "Donnie" Hoffman of Farmington passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at St. Louis University hospital at the age of 58 years. He was born November 12, 1956 in St. Louis, son of the late Donald K. and June F. (Irvin) Hoffman. Donnie had made his home in Farmington since the mid 90's residing at the St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled Group Home. During his time here Donnie made many friends in the community. He enjoyed attending church, community events, dances, and gatherings of friends. Donnie never met a stranger and very rarely forgot anybody that he met. He worked for the Sheltered Workshop in Farmington and later at the Farmington Community Civic Center where he enjoyed helping take care of the grounds. Donnie will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him including his sister Mary Zweifel of St. Louis, a niece Christina Kelly of St. Louis and numerous other relatives. He will also be missed by his many friends and housemates at the Group Home and the support staff at the County Board as well as his many friends in the community. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory on Friday December 12, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service in the Cozean Chapel at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Mike McGee officiating. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled. Donnie will be laid to rest next to his parents at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in St. Louis.
