Diane Jean Eckert

PARK HILLS - Diane Jean Eckert of Park Hills passed away on November 12, 2022 at Country Meadows Nursing Home at the age of 66. She was born in St. Louis on August 11, 1956 to the late Carl James Flippin and Virginia (Mize) Flippin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several of her siblings. Diane grew up in North St. Louis where she attended Central High School. Most of her adult life was spent working in retail beginning with Stix, Baer and Fuller and later at lumber supply stores in the area. She enjoyed shopping for and collecting carousels and unicorns. For most of her life she also enjoyed having pet dogs and cats. Survivors include two beloved sons, Jerald (Amy) Smith and Brandon Eckert; a brother, Dennis (Patricia) Grindstaff; Brandon's father, Bob Eckert; grandchildren, Derrick (Caliegh) Smith and Dylan (Courtney) Smith; great grandchildren, Jett, Stella and Bennett and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Pendleton United Baptist Church in Doe Run.
